These wonderful ladies sell to tourists and locals alike on Watamu beach.
They are invaluable to us as they buy directly from the factories in Malindi and bring us the newest colours.
(New kikoy designs are created weekly, and printed in batches of only 50 - and many are never repeated).

We buy our leather sandals direct from the craftsman based in Malindi, about 10km from Watamu. Each sandal is handmade - each bead is painstakingly sewn on by hand by craftsmen and craftswomen. By buying direct as we do, we can be sure that our money supports the craftsmen and women directly.
