It's price comparison time again...and I am delighted to report that our prices are lower than anywhere else. I find the difference in prices staggering, especially given that some of the kikoys listed by our competitors are identical to those we stock.

A highlight of this month has been teaming up with Hal McCallum to sort colours of towels for his gorgeous holiday let in beautiful Puglia (South Eastern Italy). You can have a look at the villa here: http://www.pugliavillavesta.com/ - mention the Pink Gecko and you might negotiate a discount with Hal, who tells me that he is "chuffed as nuts" with his kikoy towels!
It's also been fun to equip a lovely holiday cottage in Pembrokeshire with kikoy towels too - it's just 80 yards from the beach! Again, mention the Pink Gecko to Lucy Rees, and perhaps she'll do you a deal! High House, Tenby.

I am delighted that Nando's chose Pink Gecko kikoys when refurbishing their Swindon restaurant. They have used them within the wood paneling and to make the blinds. The restaurant looks great!

It has been a busy summer and now we are clearing our shelves before our October buying trip to Malindi Beach.

We are delighted by our new stock for the summer. We have some stunning new kikoys and kikoy towels.
We are proud by our range - we have 27 styles of kikoy and 26 styles of kikoy towels - more than any of our competitors.
We are proud of our prices too - we cannot find cheaper on the web!

I am delighted as of today to be sponsoring an additional Kenyan child. Nancy is 7 years old (in fact her birthday was a couple of days ago!). She attends nursery in the village of Meru (rural Kenya), and is learning her alphabet according to our latest update.
I am very grateful to all our customers. It seems that The Pink Gecko may be a sustainable business, and thus I have now been able to commit to sponsoring two Kenyan children.

Conclusion: we have a wider range and lower prices than our rivals - fantastic news!

We have been in business for 9 months now! We are so happy with feedback from our customers and some of you seem to be coming back for more. In short, we think that The Pink Gecko has a future and so we feel we can commit now to sponsoring a child through school at Silverstone Academy in Watamu (Kenya). We will post more details about this in due course - but thank you to you all for your custom - without this, we could do nothing!

4th January 2012 - Happy New Year!
| Happy New Year to you all. We had an amazing trip to Kenya , great to see old friends and suppliers and also fun to find new things on the beach and in Malindi. Malindi is full of small streets with some amazing crafts being made if you have the time to find them. We bought some beautiful handmade leather and beaded flip flops in jewel colours in many designs. We have had some bags made which I have fallen in love with and used the whole of my trip as they have a handy zip and just seem to carry everything and get bigger and bigger. We used some pretty stripped kikoy fabric for some and also some really funky Kanga fabric which I think will be a huge hit. I would like to use more of this fabric in the future on towels and clothing. We have also started a small clothing range of kikoy trousers which my kids have been wearing for years and have been a huge hit amongst their friends, so we have brought back a collection for men and women. in the kikoy fabric some plain and for the more adventurous the strippy fabric is really trendy. Also a small range of childrens shorts is available in 5 kikoy colours the fabric is so soft it is perfect for our little ones! So enjoy! We are very excited about our impending trip to Kenya .We leave in a couple for weeks for our holiday mixed with a buying trip.
We will be meeting with old friends who we have been buying from for the last 6 years and maybe some new suppliers too as we will be selling new lines in January.
We are going to be choosing new products and colours, which will be on the website as soon as we get back , along with photos of our suppliers.
We are very much looking forward to sharing our new products with you !
